Przy uruchomieniu próbnika świeci dioda zielona, jeżeli świeci się dioda czerwona należy wymienić baterię. Aby sprawdzić urządzenie należy zanurzyć końcówkę pomiarową w czystej wodzie - jeżeli urządzenie jest sprawne - powinna zaświecić sie dioda czerwona.
